Toronto Songwriting Guild
Around for nearly a decade, the Toronto Songwriting Guild (TSG) is a vibrant collective of professional musicians and friends who meet regularly to write and perform original songs, and give feedback and support. Its members vary in musical styles and goals, but are well matched in terms of musical skill and commitment to their craft.
“Embrace and Love Your Body, it’s the most AMAZING thing you will ever own.”-Speaker Slam’s tagline for this event shares my sentiment and reason I wrote and perform my show Myselfie. Myselfie complete consists of about 3 hours of stories, music and dancing that I pare down to 60-90 minute shows at a time along with a companion workshop. What’s my Speaker Slam challenge? To show appreciation for my Body Beautiful in 4-6 minutes for my Speaker Slam performance! Whoa!!! And the stakes are high because this is a competition and I could win big! BIG! 😉
It goes without typing that I would love to have you come out and support all of us aiming to inspire with love for our own body beautiful. More information on the event below! Love you! 🙂

Lyrics: Dear Santa…
You’ve got a big sack– jampacked
With heavy gifts of joy that could break your back
I can help you… damn straight
I can help release the pressure and reduce the weight
I’ll take my gifts now… and how
You know what I like— I’m willing to be wowed
I’ve been a good girl—giddy up
I saved half of your cookies and egg nog in a cup
Santa, how your sack does bulge Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho
Bursting with the gifts I love (of love) Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho
What could be inside for me? Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho
Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho Bulging sack of festive glee
You’ve got a big sack—paddywack!
The strain must be a constant risk of heart attack
Let me hold it– pick it up
I’ll keep it upright and inspect it close-up
You can trust me—fingers crossed
I’ll handle it with care so nothing gets tossed
Let me touch it—Jingle bells
I see something for me right there where it swells
Jolly yuletide clown Come on down
Loosen your belt, recline by the fire
I’ll roast some nuts and sing like a choir
I’ve been a good girl– I saved you a cookie
I’ve been a good girl– well, half a cookie
It’s better than no cookie
And realistically, I was left on my own for quite some time, so what did you expect?!

Civil Wray marks a personal and professional change for Andrea de Boer. Andrea takes both musical and personal chances with Civil Wray, offering an indie rock vibe, a twinge of country, and an infusion of Latin pop and soul that elevates her trademark smoky vocals.
Many are called, but the chosen are The Jessica Stuart Few. Simply put, when you’re the only ‘koto’ (a traditional Japanese 13-stringed instrument) playing indie singer-songwriter in the world, whose trademark red hair and genre-bending dancefloor grooves have taken you on multiple tours throughout Asia and Australia, despite being Vancouver born and a long-time Toronto native, you’re bound to raise an eyebrow or 2000.
And me– Kat Leonard!
Explosive irreverent theatrical musical comedy that leaves you with the drunken joy of a sugar rush. Building self-esteem, confidence and creativity.
